“Ramping Up” to Better Serve our Cosmetic Dental Patients!

Posted .

Operating a modern cosmetic dental practice within the walls of a nationally recognized historic treasure delivers many delightful, aesthetic benefits—but also many design challenges!

Built in 1803, the Jacob Pledger House has been the home to Advanced Cosmetic Dentistry for over 25 years. The building is listed as a significant and protected property on the National Register of Historic Places. This prestigious recognition carries with it a responsibility to adhere to period-correct details whenever we renovate or repair the property.

Over the years, we have continually improved and modified our office, always focusing on delivering the latest dental technologies while maintaining the old-world charm our patients tell us they so enjoy.

Recently, some of our patients commented that they wished we offered easier access for those with restricted mobility. We quickly responded with a decision to replace our traditional sidewalk with an easier to navigate ramped walkway.

It took careful design consideration and planning, but a new, decorative brick walkway now gracefully wraps around our building—conveniently connecting the parking area with both entrances. The flowing design complements our stately brick facade, while providing easier access to our front entry, and important ADA-compliant access at the back entrance. We hope our new and existing patients enjoy this improvement. As always, our focus is on putting the needs of you, our appreciated patients, at the top of our priority list.
